Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group in Southaven, MS seeks a Warehouse Team Lead for a long-term temporary role on either 2nd shift (Sun-Wed 5:30pm-2:30am) or Thu-Sat 6:00pm-6:00am. The Lead supervises, plans workflow, trains associates, and supports the Supervisor in achieving department goals.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, ensuring safety and inventory integrity, addressing issues with the Supervisor, and promoting teamwork and continuous improvement. High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Supervise and lead a team to meet department goals and SLA requirements.
• Experience training associates and directing work within a warehouse.
• Ensuring safety, inventory control and compliance with company policies.
• Ability to work extended hours and coordinate with internal groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize workload for the team in accordance with SOPs.
• Train associates on processes and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Direct and assign tasks; work with Supervisor to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain safety and security of associates and inventory.
• Coordinate with other departments on processes and SOPs.
• Monitor production standards and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Support a clean, safe work area and company policies.

Abacus Solutions Group is looking to hire a Warehouse Team Lead for a new facility opening up in Southaven, MS. This is a long-term temporary position

Hours: 2nd shift available. Sun - Wed, 5:30pm - 2:30am or Thur - Sat 6:00pm - 6:00am

Job Summary: The Lead carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Leads assist the Supervisor in attaining overall department goals. They lead by example and assist the Supervisor and department by effectively planning and organizing workflow, promoting teamwork, training, problem solving and decision making.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Tasks include planning/organizing work; training associates; assigning and directing work; in partnership with the Supervisor or Manager, addressing issues and resolving problems.

• Train associates on processes
• Assist the Supervisor and other internal groups to meet and exceed customer requirements
• Assist the Supervisor and other Staff to ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and guidelines.
• Assure the safety and security of associates and inventory
• Coordinate with other departments on processes and procedures
• Monitor associate production standards and partner with Supervisor to ensure SOP's are followed
• Other tasks and deemed necessary to ensure customer compliance, safety, and all company rules, policies and guidelines are met.
• Ability to work extended hours
• Forklift experience beneficial but not necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Works with the internal customers to manage and control the needs of the department, team and end recipients
• Utilizes continuous improvement mindset, assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
