Job summary

Abacus Solutions Group in Southaven, MS seeks a Warehouse Team Lead to supervise daily operations at a new facility. This is a long-term temporary assignment with a focus on safety, process discipline and teamwork.

The Lead will plan and organize workflow, train associates, and work with the Supervisor to meet customer requirements, ensure compliance with company rules, and maintain inventory security.

Qualifications

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse tasks to meet goals.
• Train associates and ensure safety and SOP compliance.
• Plan and organize workflow with supervisor to optimize throughput.
• Address issues and resolve problems with management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Train associates on processes
• Assist the Supervisor and other internal groups to meet and exceed customer requirements
• Assist the Supervisor and other Staff to ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and guidelines.
• Assure the safety and security of associates and inventory
• Coordinate with other departments on processes and procedures
• Monitor associate production standards and partner with Supervisor to ensure SOP's are followed
• Other tasks to ensure customer compliance, safety, and all company rules, policies and guidelines are met.
• Ability to work extended hours
• Forklift experience beneficial but not necessary
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Works with internal customers to manage and control the needs of the department, team and end recipients
• Utilizes continuous improvement mindset, assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary and safe work area.

Hours: 2nd shift available. Sun - Wed, 5:30pm - 2:30am or Thur - Sat 6:00pm - 6:00am

Job Summary:

The Lead carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Leads assist the Supervisor in attaining overall department goals. They lead by example and assist the Supervisor and department by effectively planning and organizing workflow, promoting teamwork, training, problem solving and decision making.
