Job summary

Magna International Cosma Group seeks a hands-on supervisor to lead daily safety, quality, and production activities at our Piedmont, SC facility. You will drive adherence to Magna and OSHA standards, coordinate staffing, monitor performance data, and push for lean improvements while mentoring line teams.

The role requires a strong command of manufacturing processes, leadership experience, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license with certification.
• Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing/ERP systems preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
• Proficient mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in various plant environments, indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety, quality, and production activities, including pre-shift meetings, inspections, safety talks, and target communication.
• Ensure compliance with Magna, OSHA, and plant safety standards, including audits and incident investigations.
• Coordinate staffing, job assignments, break relief, manpower planning, and production line coverage for efficiency.
• Monitor production performance through data collection, downtime tracking, reporting, and shift handovers.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives by supporting corrective actions, lean manufacturing, and engineering changes.
• Develop and coach team members through training, performance feedback, and leadership support.
• Maintain cross-functional communication, inventory and 5S housekeeping, and support safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

• Lead daily safety, quality, and production activities, including pre-shift meetings, inspections, safety talks, and communication of production targets.
• Ensure compliance with Magna, OSHA, and plant safety standards, including audits, emergency response readiness, accident investigations, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate staffing, job assignments, break relief, manpower planning, and production line coverage to maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor production performance through data collection, downtime tracking, reporting, shift pass-downs, and accurate documentation.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives by supporting corrective actions, lean manufacturing, engineering changes, calibration requirements, and first-time quality goals.
• Develop and coach team members through training, performance feedback, leadership support, and ongoing skill development.
• Maintain effective cross-functional communication, inventory and housekeeping standards (5S), and support overall safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
