Job summary

Learning Care is hiring for a Team Lead at a child care center in New York. The role focuses on leading classroom instruction, implementing curriculum, and promoting child development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility and leading a classroom.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation education/experience requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Conduct at least 50% of weekly instructional time.
• Communicate with families to promote child achievement and center success.
• Mentor and assist with training of new hires and fellow teachers.
• Assume Director/Assistant Director duties in absence, including opening/closing the center.
• Ensure daily care following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.


• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.


• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.


• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.


• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.


• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.


• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.


• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay $19.81-20.58 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered


• Immediate Health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time-off and 401K (plus company match) provided for full-time employees.
