Job description

We are seeking a qualified Child Care Team Lead to manage our day-to-day operations and create a positive learning environment for children. In this role, you will oversee the coordination of educational programs that comply with local and federal regulations. You will also ensure that our facilities are well-maintained, manage and support our childcare staff, and handle the center's financial affairs.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing all aspects of a childcare center or nursery school, along with strong leadership skills. A friendly demeanor, a love for children, and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for both children and teachers are essential. Experience in early childhood development is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • 40-hour work week with flexible scheduling
  • Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Manage and coordinate curricula with staff to comply with state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure that the center's facilities are safe and meet all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate, purchase, and maintain necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policy and legal requirements.
  • Complete ongoing training and courses to stay updated on childcare standards and procedures.
  • Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
  • Oversee the budget and accounts to ensure the center remains profitable.
  • Develop and implement a marketing and communications plan.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation at least once a month on a Saturday.
  • Work one shift a month on a Saturday.
Candidate Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Sixty (60) college semester hours, with twelve (12) hours in child-related courses, or twenty-four (24) months of experience with twelve (12) college semester hours in child-related courses.
  • Willingness to attain state‑mandated Director requirements if not already completed
  • Required experience in early childhood education.
  • Licensure is mandatory.
  • Compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing childcare.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
