Surestaff is hiring a Team Lead for a large client in Niles, IL. The Team Lead oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and a safe work environment.

Competitive compensation ($23-25/hr) with a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). 1st shift: 6:00am-5:30pm. Temp-to-hire opportunity through Surestaff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in food science, business management or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience in food manufacturing or similar environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with basic computer software and production management tools.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and proactive team management.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work in temperature-controlled environments.

Team Lead – Production Operations

SURESTAFF is hiring a Team Lead for a large client in Niles, IL. The Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the production team, ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and a safe work environment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($23-25/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift: 1st shift, 6:00am-5:30pm

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of production employees by fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring product quality and adherence to food safety standards.
• Monitor team performance and implement strategies for improvement and efficiency.
• Conduct regular training sessions to ensure all team members are educated on manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control.
• Collaborate with other departments, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to facilitate seamless production operations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify and resolve any production-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Participate in team meetings and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
