Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Team Lead at a child care center to guide classroom instruction, nurture growth, and support families daily. You will promote social, physical, and intellectual development while leading staff and managing curriculum with passion and professional standards.

The role involves mentoring new hires, upholding licensing guidelines, and stepping in for Director duties when needed. This is a community-focused position with an emphasis on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care and lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and support the center’s success.
• Mentor and train new hires and fellow Teachers, creating fun, interactive learning experiences for preschool children.
• Take on duties of Director or Assistant Director in the absence of the Director, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher!Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation.Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator!Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor!Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader!Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert!Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.
