Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Team Care Coordinator to support physicians and the clinical team by coordinating patient care, schedules, and clinic operations. You will document patient visits, coordinate surgeries and therapy orders, and ensure excellent service throughout the patient experience.

Responsibilities include documenting visits with providers, triaging calls, scheduling visits and procedures, managing schedules, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical background preferred, including Anatomy coursework, CMA, or healthcare-related degree.
• Surgery scheduling experience required.
• Athena experience preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic healthcare preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent typing and computer proficiency (40 WPM preferred).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Ability to work independently while providing outstanding patient service.

• Manage physician and physician assistant clinical and surgical schedules
• Submit and renew physical therapy orders
• Call in prescriptions and medication refills as authorized by the provider
• Coordinate patient care while maintaining accurate documentation and communication
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
• Support providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient daily operations
