Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Medford, Oregon is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead merchandising, pricing and athlete experience on the sales floor. You will coach teammates, manage priorities and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.

You will build a strong team, handle scheduling, training, and performance reviews, and ensure safe, compliant store operations while striving to exceed payroll and financial goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promote and lead company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Together with the SM and ASM, contribute to the development of 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s).
• Build and lead a strong, effective team that successfully delivers positive athlete experiences, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention.
