Job summary

Delano Miami Beach is seeking a Staff Café Attendant to support our Heart of House by maintaining a welcoming, clean, and well-stocked team dining environment. You will ensure colleagues are cared for with warmth and quality that defines our brand.

Under the general guidance of the Sous Chef, you will set up and maintain cafeterias, stock food stations, and uphold food safety standards while delivering friendly service to hotel staff across shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, cafeteria, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Team oriented with a positive and service-driven attitude,
• Basic understanding of food safety standards
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other team members and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
• Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
• Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain team member cafeteria with attention to cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
• Ensure food stations are fully stocks, replenished, and presented in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, service stations, and equipment.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and supplies
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Support basic food preparation and service as needed
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
• Provide warm, friendly, and professional experience for all team members
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
• We will on occasion call for each individual on the team to perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the venue teams.
• Communicate with team members using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations.
• Make decisions and take actions based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations.
