Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Cupp 4 South inpatient unit in West Philadelphia. You will work under RN supervision to support patient care, perform vital sign collection, assist with daily activities, and participate in handoffs and unit huddles to ensure safety and quality of care.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and case management, and adherence to safety and patient privacy

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• CNA or NAREG (Required)
• CNA Certification by the State of Pennsylvania or RN without a BSN Degree.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a genuine care for the patient, including active listening, providing care with a gentle approach, and communicating clearly during RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles. Responsible for collecting vital signs, documenting observations, and escalating data as needed to ensure patient safety and timely care.
