Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support a new 12‑bed unit at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to deliver patient care, perform routine nursing actions, and document observations in the patient record.

This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and patient dignity in a dynamic inpatient setting. Required are a high school diploma or GED and CNA certification or nursing student clinical rotation; BLS certification

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification or nursing student with clinical rotation completed.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Documents observations and vital signs; maintains patient safety and privacy.
• Assists patients with transfers, admissions, and routine nursing tasks.
• Collaborates with the care team to plan, implement, and evaluate the care plan.
• Maintains clean, safe environments and follows infection control policies.
