Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join the 4 South inpatient unit in West Philadelphia. You will collaborate closely with registered nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other professionals to provide high-quality care to adult patients.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and participate in handoffs to ensure safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• CNA or NAREG required.
• CNA certification by PA or RN without a BSN degree.
• HS diploma/GED required; BSN coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates genuine care for the patient through active listening and supportive interaction.
• Participates in RN/CNA handoffs and unit huddles to ensure seamless patient care.
• Collects and reports vital signs and patient data as directed.
• Delivers safe, compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and independence.
• Escalates data or clinical concerns promptly to nursing staff.
