Hospice of the Valley is a nonprofit national leader in hospice care serving the Phoenix metropolitan area since 1977. The Team Assistant provides essential administrative support to the clinical team, handling phones, patient information, and data entry to help sustain efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of increasingly responsible secretarial or administrative support experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills to interact with others in a helpful, cooperative and effective manner.
  • Ability to manage time well, meet deadlines and perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use various types of office equipment including computer equipment, fax machine and copier/phone.

Position Profile

The Team Assistant is responsible for providing a variety of administrative support functions that contribute to the overall efficient operation of theclinical team. Some of the duties will include answering phones, processing patient information and data entry.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior medical office or hospice experience preferred.
  • Familiar with medical terminology preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years database administration experience with knowledge of MS Office software including, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
