Job summary

The University of Washington MEDEX Northwest, Family Medicine, Seattle campus, invites applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor. The appointment is 0.8-1.0 FTE on a 12-month, non-tenure track starting March 2027, with a 2-year commitment and emphasis on classroom teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
• Completion of an accredited PA program.
• Eligible for PA licensure in the state of assigned campus.
• Current NCCPA certification or equivalent and two years of clinical experience.
• Teaching experience of six months in either a classroom or clinical setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and online instruction for PA students.
• Develop curriculum and chair at least one course.
• Advise and evaluate students.
• Engage in teaching, scholarly activity and service.
• Lecturing, proctoring didactic activities, participating in admissions and ensuring ARC-PA standards compliance.

Education
