Job summary

The University of Washington MEDEX - Family Medicine invites applications for a teaching faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with an anticipated start date of March 2027. This 12-month, 2-year appointment is 0.8–1.0 FTE and based at the Anchorage campus.

The担当 Teaching Professor will lead classroom and online instruction, develop curriculum, and advise students while collaborating with WWAMI partners across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
• Graduation from an accredited PA program.
• Eligible for PA licensure in the state of the assigned campus.
• Current NCCPA certification or equivalent and two years of clinical experience.
• Teaching experience of six months in either a classroom or clinical setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop syllabi, lectures, exams, and student assessment instruments.
• Delivers course instruction including lecturing and facilitation of other learning activities.
• Chairing or Co-chairing at least one course.
• Academic advising of students.
• Recruitment and admissions involvement as needed.
• Programmatic activities: scholarly activity and committee work.
• Demonstration of culturally competent care addressing healthcare disparities.
