Job summary

The University of South Florida invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure earning faculty position in the Teaching Pathway within the Department of Health Policy and Systems Management. The incumbent will teach, conduct scholarship, engage in research, and provide service, with on-site presence as required by university expectations.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
• Three years' experience in research health policy/law and/or administration and management of healthcare systems and organizations.
• Publication in peer-reviewed/scholarly journals related to health services, health management and administration, or policy/law.
• Demonstrated ability to fulfill expectation of continued growth as a scholar/researcher; independent, sustained funded research not required.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute in service commensurate with the College's mission and to participate collegially within the University.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach online and in-class courses related to Health Policy & Systems Program; participate in college-wide teaching initiatives.
• Contribute to USF Health interprofessional education programs.
• Collaborate in teaching with faculty in other Colleges in USF Health and the University.
• Advise students and serve on thesis and doctoral committees as appropriate.
• Contribute to scholarly literature through publications, presentations, and translational research initiatives.
• Engage in service activities at the department, college, university, community and professional levels; participate in governance committees.

Education

Doctoral degree in public health, health policy, health management/administration, business law, or closely related field
