Job summary

University of South Florida is seeking a full-time, tenure-earning faculty member in the teaching pathway of occupational health and safety within the Department of Health Policy and Systems Management. The incumbent will lead instructional and training activities for a future industrial hygiene program and collaborate with centers within the southeast consortium for occupational risk and engagement.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in public health, occupational health and safety, health management, business, law or closely related field with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
• Three years' experience in occupational health and safety and/or management of healthcare systems related to safety.
• Active participation in national organizations and leadership activities appropriate to the candidate's discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach online and in-class courses related to occupational health and safety; participate in college-wide teaching initiatives.
• Contribute to scholarly literature through peer-reviewed publications and translational research initiatives.
• Engage in service activities at the department, college, and university levels and participate in professional organizations.
