Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an Educational Developer for Teaching and Learning to help plan, develop, implement, lead, and assess programs and resources for teaching improvement. The role involves offering consultations and leading workshops with faculty and campus partners to strengthen inclusive, evidence-based teaching practices.

The Educational Developer will contribute to center-wide initiatives, participate in meetings, and support the Director in advancing teaching

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in one or more credit-bearing courses in a higher education setting.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with faculty, University leadership, staff, and students.
• Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in faculty development in higher education.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with and flexibility in moving among a variety of digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, lead, and assess programs and resources for teaching and learning.
• Offer consultations and lead workshops, programs, and events in collaboration with staff, faculty, and campus partners.
• Strengthen and expand the Center’s commitment to inclusive, equitable, engaging, evidence-based teaching.
• Participate in meetings and committees to support center-wide initiatives and represent the CFE.
