Job summary

Iliad is a nonprofit advancing foundational AI alignment research. The Teaching Lead will oversee delivery and quality across the Iliad Intensive, a course with 40+ students and ~15 rotating teachers per iteration, alternating monthly between London and Berkeley/SF.

You will design and teach modules, supervise staff, onboard new teachers, and coordinate with scheduling, curriculum, and operations to ensure a unified program.

Qualifications

• University degree in mathematics, physics, or theoretical computer science required.
• PhD is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated teaching experience and care for participant learning.
• Excellent coordination with staff and students to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Teach modules of the Iliad Intensive based on prewritten materials.
• Oversee teaching of other staff to enact improvements.
• Uphold teaching standards across rotating part‑time teachers.
• Develop scalable onboarding for new teachers.
