Job summary

University of Idaho in Idaho is seeking a part-time Teaching Lab Assistant for BIOL 3150 Genetics Lab to be held at the Coeur d'Alene Harbor Center in Fall 2026. You will work with Moscow-based instructors and graduate TAs to deliver consistent lab content and assist with student questions.

Responsibilities include maintaining wild-type and mutant Drosophila lines, managing equipment for student experiments, overseeing safe practices, mentoring projects, and grading lab reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
• Prior coursework in Genetics.

Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field

• Experience with Drosophila in education or research environment
• Experience teaching undergraduate laboratory courses
• Previous student in University of Idaho BIOL 315/3150 Genetics Laboratory
