Qualifications

• Doctorate in genetics, biological sciences, or closely related field required.
• Minimum of 2 years post-doctoral research experience in area relevant to proposed research program.
• Active research program or area of expertise in genetics or genomics.
• Experience publishing peer-reviewed work in scientific journals.

Responsibilities

• Teach an average of 1.5 classes per academic year in the medical sciences curriculum or other department needs.
• Maintain an active, externally funded research program.
• Develop collaborations across the college and university.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Attend faculty meetings and departmental seminars; serve on committees.
