Job summary

BASIS Pflugerville is seeking a Teaching Fellow to join our bright, passionate teaching team. The Assistant Teacher may teach a select number of courses and/or substitute for a current teacher, gaining exposure to BASIS Charter School's model and practices.

Responsibilities include classroom support, helping with classroom management, tutoring students, proctoring assessments, and collaborating with Deans and Directors of Student Affairs to maintain a high-achievement culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or state background check.
• Ability to work full time.
• Willingness to take NES Elementary Education Assessment if necessary.
• Willingness to be considered for other campuses.
• Willingness to acquire and maintain BASIS teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Classroom teaching, part-time and substitute roles.
• Assist with classroom management and student support.
• Provide tutoring and academic help to students.
• Assist with events, labs, and testing.
• Collaborate with Deans and Directors of Student Affairs on behavior and student progress.
• Proctor assessments and monitor non-scheduled time and lunch supervision.
• Help manage study groups and school programs.
