Job summary

BASIS.ed in Benbrook, TX is seeking a Teaching Fellow to join our bright, passionate teaching team. This role may teach a select number of courses and/or sub for an existing teacher, helping you learn BASIS Charter School model and program.

The Assistant Teacher will have a visible presence in all areas of school life, support student well‑being, and uphold a strong, achievement‑oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and/or state background check.
• Ability to work full time.
• Willingness to take NES Elementary Education Assessment if necessary.
• Willingness to be considered for other campuses.
• Willingness to maintain BASIS teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Classroom teaching part-time or as a substitute.
• Assist teachers with classroom management.
• Provide student academic support and tutoring.
• Assist with events, labs and testing.
• Work with teachers on evaluating student progress.
• Proctor assessments.
• Monitor non-scheduled time and lunch supervision.
• Support Deans and Directors of Student Affairs with behavior management.
• Help execute key school programs.
