Job summary

Antioch University in Keene, NH seeks a Teaching Assistant for Conservation Biology (ESS 5630) in the fall. You will attend in-person classes, assist with in-class labs, and support small groups of students.

You will be available outside class for tutoring, help with assignments and the final project, and may assist with grading and news-topic searches. Some coordination with graduate colleagues is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Conservation Biology; have already taken the class at AUNE.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability and interest in working with other graduate students to build knowledge and skills.
• Ability to attend class on Fridays.

• Arrange time outside of class to be available to students for working on class assignments and the final project, and to provide tutoring in content and skills to students who need additional support (3 hours/week).
• Assistant may also help with grading assignments (1.5 hour/week), finding Conservation Biology topics in the current news (1 hour/week), and preparing for class (1 hour/week).
• Work will occur during class time as well as outside of class as arranged with individuals or groups of students.
