Job summary

Antioch University in Keene, NH seeks a Teaching Assistant for Conservation Biology (ESS 5630) in the fall. You will attend in-person classes, assist with in-class labs, and support small groups of students.

You will be available outside class for tutoring, help with assignments and the final project, and may assist with grading and news-topic searches. Some coordination with graduate colleagues is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Conservation Biology; have already taken the class at AUNE.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability and interest in working with other graduate students to build knowledge and skills.
• Ability to attend class on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Attend class sessions (in person) and help answer questions and provide support to small groups during in-class labs.
• Arrange time outside of class to be available to students for working on class assignments and the final project, and to provide tutoring.
• Assist with grading assignments, finding Conservation Biology topics in current news, and preparing for class.
• Work will occur during class time as well as outside of class as arranged with individuals or groups of students.
