Glade Run Academy in Zelienople, PA, is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a 10-month position following the school calendar. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with benefits including comprehensive plans and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have audio/visual/verbal skills to supervise clients and perform job functions.
• Must have physical dexterity to assist in client interventions as needed.
• Must complete Crisis/Physical Intervention training.
• Must exercise discretion and judgment in job responsibilities.
• Must adjust hours to job requirements.
• Must have access to a telephone.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old to transport students/clients.
• Must be eligible for PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, FBI clearance and Arrest/Conviction Report.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with classroom management.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries with students, staff and parents.
• Build healthy, therapeutic relationships with students.
• Possess professional communication skills for school communications.
• Attend all required trainings.
• Meet with Supervisor regularly.
• Practice PBIS and Sanctuary intervention models.
• Collaborate on SNCD assessments for each student.

Glade Run Academy is an educational option for students in grades K through 12 who require specialized educational programs due to behavioral health, academic and developmental concerns. REQUIREMENTS:
