Job summary

Glade Run Academy in Utica, PA is seeking a full‑time, 10‑month role to support teachers and students in a therapeutic PBIS/Sanctuary environment. Work hours are 7:30am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $17.00–$17.75 per hour.

You will assist with classroom management, complete required paperwork promptly, build healthy relationships with students, staff and parents, and participate in SNCD assessments and agency trainings under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, or education, OR a high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in educational or mental health settings.
• Audio/visual/verbal communication skills for client supervision and essential functions.
• Discretion and judgment in performing responsibilities.

About the Role

Glade Run Academy is a K‑12 educational option for students with behavioral health, academic, and developmental concerns. We provide a therapeutic, safe learning environment using PBIS and Sanctuary models.

Job Details

• Location: ST STEPHEN UTICA – Utica, PA 16362
• Position Type: Full‑time 10‑month (school calendar)
• Education Level: High School (Bachelor’s or Associate’s preferred)
• Salary: $17.00 – $17.75 per hour
• Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm
• Other: Administrator or supervisory contact phone required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom management.
• Complete required paperwork promptly.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries with students, staff, and parents.
• Build healthy, therapeutic relationships with students.
• Communicate professionally, ensuring awareness of all school communications.
• Attend all required agency and program trainings.
• Meet regularly with the supervisor.

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to conduct a Strengths‑Needs‑Cultural‑Discovery (SNCD) assessment for each student.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in educational, mental health, or social service settings.
• Audio/visual/verbal communication skills for client supervision and essential job functions.
• Physical dexterity for possible client interventions.
• Completion of agency Crisis/Physical Intervention training.
• Discretion and judgment in performing responsibilities.
• Flexibility to adjust hours as needed.
• Access to a telephone and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum age 21, eligible for PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, FBI clearance, and Arrest/Conviction Report.
