Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd are working with a Primary and Secondary Special Needs School in York seeking Teaching Assistants to support in classrooms on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. These roles start ASAP and offer daily pay of £100–£110 during school hours 8.30am–3.30pm.

Your duties include assisting teachers, supporting pupils with autism and challenging behaviours, and helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment across primary and secondary settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, including those with special needs.
• Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards working with children.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.
• Knowledge of toddler care and development is a plus.

The school caters for Primary and Secondary pupils supporting Children with Autism and Challenging Behaviours and communication needs.
