Job summary

Dominion Care is seeking a caring, dependable Teacher Assistant to work closely with a Special Education Teacher in providing daily classroom and behavioral support to students with academic, behavioral, emotional and physical challenges.

In this role you’ll help create a positive, inclusive learning environment by assisting with instruction, supporting behavior plans, and ensuring every student receives the individualized attention they deserve.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable personal cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Implements all lesson plans as outlined by Licensed Teacher.
• Assist with implementing Individualized Service Plans with clients under the classroom teacher's direction.
• Coordinate with other service providers, staff, or families to encourage consistency among client families/caregivers and all providers.
• Complete all required documentation including daily parent communication logs, behavioral data, daily notes, and monthly reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Develop program materials and ensure appropriate materials are available for assigned clients.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures and complete other tasks deemed necessary for the successful operation of the program.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times.
