Job description

Teacher - Secondary (Mathematics) Content Areas (6th-12th grade): Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics and Probability, et al. Teaching positions with Muscle Shoals City Schools are typically 187 day assignments unless noted otherwise. New hires with the district are required to attend a one day orientation. More than one position per category may become available and applicants may be considered for placement throughout the district based upon appropriate and current Alabama Certification credentials. Prior to employment, all potential employees must present evidence of a clear status resulting from a (self-pay) background check through the Alabama State Department of Education. Individuals hired for instructional positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Teaching Certification in the appropriate field. Individuals hired for administrative positions must hold or be eligible for Alabama Certification as a School Administrator/Instructional Leader. Salary schedules are available on the MSCS website.
