Job summary

Celebree Schools is hiring for a full-time childcare role in Westminster, MD. The position focuses on creating a welcoming classroom environment, executing age-appropriate lesson plans, and maintaining a clean, safe space for children and families.

You will collaborate with the Lead teacher and Director to ensure quality care, timely updates for parents, and a positive learning experience for all children in the program.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive, current classroom displays and updating the Parent Board.
• Helps implement age-appropriate, stimulating lesson plans and manages transitions.
• Supervises children during activities and uses positive, appropriate discipline techniques.
• Maintains classroom appearance, cleanliness and safety; completes paperwork.
• Communicates with parents; provides updates on child development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities or problems and works with Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Education

Experience in childcare industry preferred

Essential Functions:

• Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum; Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
• Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.

Requirements
