Job summary

Celebree Schools is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to support a welcoming classroom and assist in providing engaging, age-appropriate lessons. You will help with displays, parent communications, and smooth transitions throughout the day.

Ideal candidates have experience in child care and can maintain a safe, clean environment while following Celebree curriculum and policies. This is a full-time role with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in child care industry preferred.
• Ability to create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Proactive communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing classroom ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Provide welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Maintain classroom displays and Parent Board with updates.
• Create and implement timely, age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support transitions and supervise children during activities.
• Use positive discipline techniques as needed.
• Ensure clean, safe classroom environment.
• Complete classroom paperwork and reporting.
• Communicate updates on child development to parents.
• Identify opportunities or problems and escalate as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in managing classroom ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
• Provides a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assists in maintaining attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly.
• Assists in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum;
• Assists in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensures that appearance, cleanliness and safe environment of classroom is appropriately maintained.
• Assists in completing all classroom paperwork
• Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
• Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom/School and works with the Lead teacher and Director to resolve.
