Your Day-To-Day as an Entry-Level Teacher\'s Aide

As directed by the special education teacher, you\'ll be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting the assigned students with educational and therapeutic services
  • Providing compassionate direct care to assigned students during classroom time, including eating, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Monitoring students\' progress and providing input to the special education teacher during evaluation periods (quarterly reports, six-month reviews, etc.)
  • Learning about Massachusetts curriculum frameworks
  • Helping the special education teacher maintain accurate student records
  • Leading activities and direct care services on teacher planning days
