Qualifications

• 3 years teaching experience.
• Current Texas teaching certification and/or principal (mid-management) or superintendent certification.
• Accomplished educator (as shown by student learning).
• Experience mentoring teachers.
• Commitment for one academic year.
• Not required to be a current district employee.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online supervisor training and orient Cooperating Teachers.
• Lead clinical teacher orientations and monitor notebooks during the clinical teaching semester.
• Observe, assess, and evaluate the clinical teacher through formal observations.
• Hold mid-point and summative conferences with the Clinical Teacher and Cooperating Teacher.
• Liaise between the school district and the Teacher Preparation Program.
