Job summary

Council On Rural Service Programs Inc invites applications for a full-time/part-year Teacher in Ohio to support the Head Start program for preschool children. The role collaborates with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to implement daily activities, ensure safety, and create a positive learning environment in the center.

Minimal education is a high school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent; an Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Enrolled in a CORS approved and paid accredited CDA program and complete within two years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children.
• Work with the Head Teacher and families in the center classroom on daily routines, activities, and safety.
• Ensure children's safety with proper supervision and a healthy, sanitary learning environment.
• Assist in developing activities that promote children's interests, individualized growth, and skills.
• Support family engagement and male involvement activities throughout the program year.

Education

Teacher - Full Time/Part-YearJob Location: Benjamin LoganPosition Type: Hourly$15.29 - $21.87 Hourly. Wages are based on education; a minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required. CORS pays for educational advancement for motivated individuals with a heart for service. With an Associate’s Degree or higher, you are eligible for Head Teacher openings, with a range of $22.24-$26.08 hourly.Description: Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families, to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
