Job summary

Council On Rural Service Programs Inc in Urbana, OH seeks a Teacher to support Head Start preschool programming in a full-year role. You will work with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to prepare children for kindergarten through engaging learning environments.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with a CDA or enrollment in a CORS-approved CDA program within two years; an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Background check, drug test, and physical are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement Head Start education for preschoolers.
• Support daily classroom operations, prepare learning environments, gather materials, and facilitate group activities.
• Ensure child safety with proper supervision and maintain a healthy, organized learning space.
• Participate in family engagement activities, home visits, and parent/teacher conferences as directed.
• Complete required screenings and assist with documentation and record keeping.

CORS pays for educational advancement for motivated individuals with a heart for service.Description: Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families, to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
