Job summary

A Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) role with Ampersand Therapy LLC is a full-time, in-person position in Aurora, CO for the 2026-2027 school year.

You will provide direct TVI and Orientation & Mobility services, collaborate with IEP teams and families, and support accommodations and accessible materials in a Colorado school setting.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado CDE certification with Teacher of the Visually Impaired endorsement.
• Master's degree or higher in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or a related field.
• Orientation and Mobility (O&M) certification preferred, not required.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct TVI and Orientation & Mobility services to students.
• Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Support accommodations and accessible educational materials.
• Assist with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and visual access strategies as needed.
• Support student mobility, navigation, and orientation skills across educational environments.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain timely documentation and compliance records.
