Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC is hiring a full-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the Seattle area for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves in-person, itinerant service to students who are blind or visually impaired, with a schedule from about 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities include assessing functional vision, supporting curriculum needs, developing IEPs, and coordinating with school teams. Travel between sites is required, with competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in special education, visual impairments, or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching credential with endorsement in visual impairments.
  • Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Provide specialized instruction to students who are blind or visually impaired.
  • Assess students’ functional vision and learning-media needs.
