Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks an experienced lower elementary teacher for grades K-2 in New Orleans to prepare students academically and emotionally for life opportunities. The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, high expectations, and a supportive classroom culture.

You will differentiate for diverse learners, align lessons to Louisiana standards, and collaborate with families and colleagues to maximize student growth and engagement in a rigorous learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience – At least 2 years of urbanteaching experience with a record of student achievement.
• Education –Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strategic Thinking & Vision –Sees and communicates the big picture in an inspiring way to students and colleagues. Determines opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current student performance trends.
• Organization & Planning –Plans, organizes, and schedules, in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.
• Analytical Skills –Structures and processes qualitative or quantitative student performance data and draws insightful conclusions from it.
• Attention to Detail –Ensures that important details do not slip through the cracks or derail a project.
• Creativity/Innovation –Generates new and innovative approaches to problems, including instructional design and delivery.
• Teamwork –Reaches out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
• Flexibility – Demonstrates the ability to adjust in the moment and the willingness to support with additional responsibilities, if needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
