Job summary

ReNEW is seeking a certified PK teacher in New Orleans to drive instruction with clear goals, foster a positive learning culture, and deliver rigorous lessons aligned with Louisiana standards. You will differentiate for diverse learners and use data to guide instruction, receiving coaching to grow professionally.

You will collaborate with families and staff, be flexible to a turnaround context, and participate in extended-day efforts to support student success.

Qualifications

• Urban PK teaching experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Certification: LDOE PreK certification or eligible.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

At ReNEW Schools, we expect our teachers to:

• Use goals to drive instruction.With your manager and team, you will set clear and ambitious short-term and long-term goals to drive your instruction and help your students succeed.

• Be a content expert.You will plan rigorous, engaging, Louisiana Student Standards-aligned lessons using Tier 1 Curriculum. You will effectively execute lessons to ensure all students are working with content aligned to the appropriate standards for their subject and grade.

• Use data all day, every day.You will assess qualitative and quantitative student data in order to draw insightful conclusions from it and adjust instruction as necessary.

WHAT YOU BRING

In addition to the expectations listed above, you will bring the following to your school and students:

• Experience –At least 2 years of urban PK teaching experience with a record of student achievement. Experience with Tier 1 Curriculum preferred.
• Education –Bachelor’s degree required.
• Certification- Must be LDOE PreK certified or eligible for PK certification (Ancillary not included)
