Job summary

Butte Head Start seeks a dedicated Teacher to deliver high-quality early education in a safe, supportive classroom. You will plan activities, support development, and partner with families to promote readiness for school.

Ideal candidates hold an ECE degree (or equivalent coursework) and are committed to inclusive, child-centered learning in a Head Start setting. Open until filled; benefits included.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is required.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in another field with equivalent ECE coursework and preschool teaching experience.
• Knowledge of Head Start standards or willingness to learn is expected.

• Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom for exploration and play.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Foster school readiness and kindergarten readiness.
• Build positive partnerships with families.
• Observe progress and individualize instruction.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to meet Head Start Performance Standards.
