Qualifications

  • Valid teaching credential with Visual Impairments endorsement.
  • Experience with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and adaptive devices.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students with visual needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and a student-centered mindset.
  • Previous VI teaching experience in school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum for accessibility and meaningful engagement.
  • Assess students’ needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable goals.
