The Goddard School in Concord, NC is seeking energetic, dependable Resource/Floater staff to support multiple classrooms throughout the day. You will help cover breaks, transitions, and daily routines while maintaining a safe, engaging environment.

Ideal candidates bring experience with young children, a CDA or ECE credential, or enrollment in an ECE program, plus a passion for nurturing growth across age groups. This role offers opportunities for development within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in licensed childcare preferred.
• CDA or Early Childhood Credential preferred.
• Current enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program welcomed.
• Associate’s degree in ECE or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms throughout the school as needed, including coverage and daily routines.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children.
• Provide nurturing care and supervision while supporting classroom teachers.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability across different days and classrooms.
• Assist with classroom management, activities, and implementation of lesson plans as directed.
• Communicate professionally with children, families, coworkers, and administration.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Identify classroom needs and offer proactive assistance.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions.

Resource / Floater Staff:

We are currently seeking energetic, dependable, and flexible Resource/Floater staff members to join our team. This individual should be warm, nurturing, and adaptable, with the ability to confidently support multiple classrooms throughout the school. Our ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working with children of various ages, communicates well with others, and is willing to jump in wherever support is needed throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classrooms throughout the school as needed, including assisting with coverage, transitions, breaks, and daily classroom routines
• Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
• Provide nurturing care and supervision while supporting classroom teachers
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, understanding that each day may look different
• Assist with classroom management, daily activities, and implementation of lesson plans as directed by lead teachers
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and administration
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying classroom needs and offering assistance proactively
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions

Educational Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program is welcomed
• Associate’s degree (PREFERRED) or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
