Job summary

The Goddard School of Concord (Highland Creek), NC is seeking energetic Resource / Floater staff who can support multiple classrooms with warmth and adaptability. You will assist teachers, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment across age groups.

Ideal candidates bring experience in licensed childcare, a CDA or ECE credential is preferred or enrollment in an ECE program, and willingness to work across different classrooms.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
  • CDA or Early Childhood Credential preferred.
  • Current enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program welcomed.
  • Associate's degree (PREFERRED) or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support classrooms throughout the school as needed, including coverage, transitions, breaks, and daily routines.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children.
  • Provide nurturing care and supervision while supporting classroom teachers.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability; each day may look different.
  • Assist with classroom management, activities, and implementation of lesson plans as directed by lead teachers.
  • Communicate professionally with children, families, coworkers, and administration.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and health and safety standards compliance.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying classroom needs and offering assistance proactively.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking energetic, dependable, and flexible Resource/Floater staff members to join our team. This individual should be warm, nurturing, and adaptable, with the ability to confidently support multiple classrooms throughout the school. Our ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working with children of various ages, communicates well with others, and is willing to jump in wherever support is needed throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Educational Qualifications:
