Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
• Experience developing curriculum tailored for toddlers or preschool-aged children.
• Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development preferred.
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols.
• Classroom experience demonstrating effective lesson planning and classroom management skills.

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children aged 12 to 18 months
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through play
• Use effective behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and emotional regulation
• Conduct regular assessments of child progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestones
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, challenges, and achievements
• Collaborate with colleagues to design inclusive lesson plans that incorporate early childhood education best practices such as Montessori or preschool methodologies
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies at all times
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, and individual child development notes
• Incorporate literacy education, basic math concepts, physical education activities, and early intervention techniques into daily routines
• Apply classroom management skills to foster an organized learning environment conducive to young children's needs
