Job summary

Snoqualmie Valley School District seeks a Leave Replacement Elementary Teacher for 3rd grade for the 2026-27 school year. Anticipated start October 22, 2026, end April 9, 2027, with a 1.0 FTE contract and 3rd grade assignment.

The educator will deliver high-quality, differentiated Tier I instruction aligned to Washington State standards, analyze student data for Tier II supports, collaborate with colleagues, and report progress to families while contributing to MTSS to ensure equitable outcomes.

Contract type: Leave Replacement. FTE: 1.0. Grades: 3. Anticipated start date: October 22, 2026. Anticipated end date: April 9, 2027.

Salary: $68,707 - $135,620 per year (2025-26 SVEA Salary Schedule *2026-27 TBD). Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.

Required: Valid Washington State certificate with appropriate endorsement required (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).

The certificated teacher, supported by building and district leadership, fosters a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. Using Washington State standards and district-adopted curriculum, the teacher delivers high-quality, differentiated Tier I instruction tailored to diverse learner needs. Collaborating with colleagues, they analyze student data to identify those needing Tier II supports and provide targeted interventions. The teacher also communicates progress with families, builds positive relationships, and actively contributes to the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports to ensure equitable outcomes for all students.For complete details, please see attached job description.

  • Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.
  • Retirement Plans: This position is eligible fora 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Paid Holidays: This position is not eligible for paid holidays.
  • Paid Time Off: Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days arebased on scheduled hours and position start date.

Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
