Job summary

KinderCare in Tigard, OR seeks a lead teacher who will mentor fellow teachers, implement the KinderCare curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. You will partner with parents to ensure the best care and education, while supporting your center’s enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.

Strong communication with families and licensing authorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service, strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or current NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications or willingness to obtain; CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Able to communicate in English with children and families.

• Approved state trainer (preferred)
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
• Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
