Job summary

LearnWell is seeking a passionate and creative teacher in Columbus, OH, to provide academic support for adolescent patients in a residential behavioral health facility. This role requires planning and delivering daily lesson plans, offering individualized student assistance, and ensuring educational progress while managing a small classroom setting.

The position entails a commitment of 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and includes generous paid time off, healthcare benefits, and tuition reimbursement. Active Ohio teaching license is a must.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Ohio teaching license required; substitute licenses will not be considered.
• Comfortable working with 7th‑12th grade students.

For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school‑age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Columbus, OH on a year round basis. This unique position will involve working in a residential behavioral health facility, providing academic support to adolescent school‑age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school‑age patients at any one time.

Position entails a year round, 30‑hour a week commitment, Monday‑Friday, 8am-2pm.
