Position

We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Akron/Fairlawn, OH on a part‑time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast‑paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school‑age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Teach to class sizes ranging from 8 to 15 students.
• Commit to a 15‑hour a week schedule: Monday‑Friday, 12:00pm‑3:00pm.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Ohio Teaching Licence required (substitute licence not considered).
• Comfortable working with K‑12 students.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable transportation.
